My Experience 經驗之談

Meteors enter the scene with such swiftness that capturing them as they appear becomes an impractical task.

A discernible pattern governs the movement of these meteors. In this particular instance, they emanate from the northeastern region of the Big Dipper constellation. In anticipation of their passage across my field of vision from right to left at a moderate altitude, I directed my camera towards Polaris.

To ensure comprehensive coverage over the course of three hours, I employed the time-lapse mode, enabling my camera to continuously take shots. Each exposure lasted 6 seconds, with an interval of 8 seconds between shots (the sensor necessitated a 2-second interval to prevent overheating). To guarantee that the brief 2-second interval was not overlooked, I employed a second camera, thereby increasing the likelihood of capturing that interval. With beverages in hand, I relaxed in a lawn chair, eagerly awaiting the meteoric displays and shouting in excitement as they unfolded before my eyes.

Last night yielded a multitude of captured meteors, far surpassing the time available to peruse through the extensive collection of photographs taken.
