秋瑾（1875年3月24日 - 1907年7月15日），原名秋瑾，字曼倩，是清末民初一位重要的女性革命家和女性解放運動的早期領袖。她出生在中國浙江省，成長於一個書香世家。秋瑾早年接受了優質的教育，並受到了新思想的影響，尤其是女性平等和國家現代化的觀念。

在清朝末年，秋瑾積極參與反對滿清統治的活動，並參與了多次反清起義，包括1898年的戊戌變法和1907年的浙江起義。她主張平等的社會地位和女性的參政權，並提倡現代教育以改變婦女的地位。

然而，由於當時對於女性參與政治的觀念仍然保守，秋瑾的理念受到了許多挑戰。在1907年的浙江起義失敗後，秋瑾被清朝政府捕獲並處決，享年32歲。她的犧牲和努力為中國的女性解放運動和國家的現代化貢獻了重要的一環，被後人視為女性平權和國家獨立的早期先驅之一。



Qiu Jin (March 24, 1875 - July 15, 1907), originally named Qiu Jin and with the courtesy name Manqian, was an important female revolutionary and an early leader in the women's liberation movement during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China period. She was born in Zhejiang Province, China, and grew up in a scholarly family. Qiu Jin received a quality education in her early years and was influenced by new ideas, particularly those related to women's equality and the modernization of the country.

During the waning years of the Qing Dynasty, Qiu Jin actively participated in anti-Manchu activities and took part in multiple uprisings against Qing rule, including the Wuxu Reform of 1898 and the Zhejiang Uprising of 1907. She advocated for equal social status and political rights for women, as well as promoted modern education to change the role of women in society.

However, due to the conservative views on women's participation in politics at the time, Qiu Jin's ideas faced many challenges. After the failure of the Zhejiang Uprising in 1907, she was captured by the Qing government and executed at the age of 32. Her sacrifices and efforts contributed significantly to China's women's liberation movement and the country's modernization. She is regarded by later generations as an early pioneer of women's rights and national independence.

冰姿不怕雪霜侵，羞傍瓊樓傍古岑。

標格原因獨立好，肯教富貴負初心？





前兩句描繪出梅花生長的環境，梅花羞於依傍瓊樓繡閣，而愛開放在僻靜的山崖。岑，是指很高的小山。一個“怕”字、與一個“羞”字進行對比，彰顯出梅花不愛喧囂的鬧市，卻喜僻靜的荒野，暗喻出詩人獨具一格的品性。 後兩句進一步傳達出詩人的這種獨特風格，詩人說，一個人具有獨特的風格，才能顯得不凡。其實秋瑾就如詩中所寫，她生活條件優越，本可做一個賢妻良母，在家安安穩穩地相夫教子，可是她卻要去日本留學，然後結識了一些新朋友，從而開闊了眼界，也認清民族危亡的局面，所以才下定決心報效祖國。
