This photo was taken on October 13, 2024, at 8:10 PM in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, capturing comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS). The comet is composed of ice, rock, and dust, and is a visitor from the outer solar system. Despite the cloudy weather, a brief window allowed for the capture of the comet's image, with its glowing head and long tail stretching across the sky being quite prominent. The bright core at the front of the comet reflects sunlight off its icy nucleus, while the tail, made of gas and dust, is pushed outward by solar radiation and the solar wind.
